Meditation-based interventions improve subjective sleep quality in older adults with mild cognitive impairment

A systematic review and meta-analysis of 7 studies (n=434) found that meditation-based interventions significantly improved sleep quality in adults aged ≥55 with mild cognitive impairment. The pooled effect size was large (Hedges' g = -0.75, 95% CI -1.23 to -0.28) with substantial heterogeneity (I² = 77.9%). Five of seven studies showed significant improvements in subjective sleep quality, and one actigraphy-based study reported reduced daytime napping.
