In 15 Arctic residents, melatonin amplitude showed a significant positive association with sleep efficiency (β = 0.317, p < 0.037, η² = 0.10) after adjusting for photoperiod, while melatonin phase parameters (acrophase or DLMO) had no significant relationship. No seasonal variations in sleep efficiency were observed across winter solstice, spring equinox, and summer solstice.
