Sleep disturbances and sleep latency are associated with metabolic syndrome in male Taiwanese workers
In a cross-sectional study of 348 Taiwanese workers, sleep disturbances and sleep latency were significant predictors of metabolic syndrome in men, while shift work and BMI were associated in women. The overall prevalence of metabolic syndrome was 26.4%, with higher rates in men (33.3%) than women (19.3%).
