In a cross-sectional study of 613 male manufacturing workers in Japan, 20.6% had high uric acid (≥7.0 mg/dL). Multivariable logistic regression identified smoking (OR=1.861), skipping breakfast ≥3 times/week (OR=1.684), and higher ALT (OR=1.035) as risk factors, while company cafeteria use (OR=0.528), regular exercise (OR=0.501), older age (OR=0.952), and higher eGFR (OR=0.969) were protective.
