Poor sleep quality is associated with higher odds of cognitive impairment in adult hyperthyroid patients
In a cross-sectional study of 406 hyperthyroid patients in Southeast Ethiopia, the prevalence of cognitive impairment was 29.06% (95% CI: 24.84-33.68). Poor sleep quality was significantly associated with increased odds of cognitive impairment (AOR = 2.24), indicating that hyperthyroid patients with poor sleep quality are more than twice as likely to have cognitive impairment compared to those with better sleep quality.
