In preclinical studies, MgT preserved intestinal barrier integrity, restored tight junction and mucus-associated proteins, normalized nutrient transporter expression, and attenuated hepatic steatosis, oxidative stress, and iron-driven metabolic damage under chronic variable stress conditions. These effects were linked to reactivation of NAD+/SIRT1 and PPARγ signaling pathways.
